Writing Rules

Style and Submission Policy
1. The Journal of Theology Faculty of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University is a refereed journal, that publishes articles about theology and social sciences twice a year in June and in December.
2. The Journal publishes writings in Turkish and Arabic.
3. The responsibility for the articles published in the journal belongs to their authors and the published articles may not be partially or fully printed, reproduced and transferred to electronic media without the permission of the publisher.
4. The works must not have been previously published in another journal or sent for publication. Works published in full text are not processed in our journal. Works published as summaries are treated with a letter that makes clear obligation not to be published in full text.
5. Writings whose publication is requested should be sent to our journal via the DergiPark system. Despite the submission guidelines, those who have problems can write to the following e-mail address of our journal: “ilahiyatdergi@ksu.edu.tr”.
6. The articles should contain a maximum of 150 words in Turkish and English. Then a summary between 450 and 750 words, which are more detailed than the abstract, should be placed after the bibliography. When writing abstracts and summaries, the terms of the subject should be written taking into account the third edition of Brill’s Encyclopaedia of Islam.
7. The bibliography should be added at the end of the articles. In the articles written in Arabic, the bibliography should also be written in Latin letters.
8. The format to be followed in the submitted articles:
a. The A4 size margins should be 4.75 cm at the top and bottom, 4 cm on the right and left.
b. The body should be formatted in 11 fonts and 1.3 spaces, the footnote in 9 fonts and 1 space in Bookman Old Stlyle.
c. From the 31st edition, the Isnad Footnote Reference System, available in the field of theology, is used in the footnotes.

9. The articles are sent to three referees who are experts in their field. The publication of the article requires at least the agreements of two referees.
10. The editorial board of the journal makes the final decision about the publication of the articles.
11. Articles should not exceed 35 pages.


The Journal of Theology Faculty of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University is published in electronic version and a hardcopy is distributed to each related library.
