Best Practice

Archiving Policy
The editor ensures that published material is securely archived. The Tetkik sends all published articles it publishes on an open-access basis, without further intervention from the author(s), to archives, where they are made fully available. The Author or its funding body may deposit a copy of the Author’s Accepted Manuscript in archiving sites. The Tetkik author licence allows reuse with attribution of the origin of the article (a full citation) for non-commercial use only. For commercial use, our permissions policy applies.

The Tetkik is committed to keeping research articles open access, with reuse via CC-BY-NC Creative Commons licences, and to depositing the full-text content in the archive platforms as well as full open access on https://tetkik.okuokut.org | https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/tetkik

The Tetkik uses the LOCKSS system to allow permanent archives to be created. Based on Stanford University Libraries, the LOCKSS Program provides award-winning, low-cost, open-source digital preservation tools to provide libraries and publishers with access to permanent and authoritative digital content. The LOCKSS Program is a library-led digital preservation system built on the principle of "securing large numbers of copies". The LOCKSS Program develops and supports libraries using open-source end-to-end digital preservation software.

Oku Okut Yayinlari has chosen to deposit and open up citation data via the Initiative for Open Citations I4OC. See. I4OC list: Initiative for Open Citations: I4OC (Oku Okut Yayinlari)

Publisher: Oku Okut Yayinlari [Society Publisher]: https://v2.sherpa.ac.uk/id/publisher/64219

Articles published in Tetkik are archived digitally in LOCKSS and CLOCKSS. In addition, published articles can be accessed by the author in the institutional archive of the university (DSpace, AVESIS, etc.), subject archives, or other archives without the embargo period. So anyone can access this publication for free.

The publisher of Tetkik, Oku Okut Press, is pleased to announce its archive policy in line with its policy of supporting the dissemination of research results:

Oku Okut Press allows authors to use the final published version of an article (publisher pdf) for self-archiving (author's personal website) and/or archiving in an institutional repository after publication.

Authors may self-archive their articles in public and/or commercial subject-based archives. There is no embargo period, but the published source should be cited, and a link should be set to the journal homepage or DOI of the articles.

Authors can download the output of the article as a PDF document. Authors can send copies of the article to their colleagues without any embargo.

Oku Okut Press allows all versions of articles (sent version, accepted version, published version) to be stored in an institutional or other archive preferred by the author without embargo.

Unique Identifiers & Structured Data
Persistent Article Identifier: DOI
The Tetkik uses the digital object identifier (DOI). DOI is used to find the article no matter where it is located.

Crossmark Policy: CrossMark is a multi-publisher initiative to provide a standard way for readers to locate the authoritative version of an article or other published content. By applying the CrossMark logo, Oku Okut Press is committing to maintaining the content it publishes and to alerting readers to changes if and when they occur.

Crossmark Policy: https://doi.org/10.55709/tetkikdergisi.2023.95

Correction and Retraction Policies: Oku okut Press is committed to uphold the integrity of the literature and publishes Errata, Expressions of Concerns or Retraction Notices dependent on the situation and in accordance with the COPE Retraction Guidelines. In all cases, these notices are linked to the original article.

There are two categories of updates: minor and major changes. Minor changes include correcting formatting and spelling. There are no substantive changes you would need to alert the reader to, so the Crossmark status is current. If changes don’t affect the crediting or interpretation of the work, the Crossmark status remains as it is.
Major changes affect the Crossmark status of the work, as Crossmark is geared towards letting readers know about significant changes to the published literature. Substantial changes, such as the retraction of an article due to an error, or the addition or removal of an author, should be reflected in a work’s Crossmark status. It is good practice to publish a notice of correction or retraction (with its own DOI) and not put it behind access control. This allows readers to follow the link in the Crossmark button and find further details about the update. Download the Crossmark factsheet.

ORCID: Yes
The Tetkik requires ORCID IDs to be in the article metadata. An ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor) iD is an alphanumeric code to uniquely identify authors.

ROR ID: Yes
The Tetkik uses the Research Organization Registry identifier (ROR ID). ROR (Research Organization Registry) is a community-led registry of open, sustainable, usable, and unique identifiers for every research organization in the world.

Open Citations (I4OC): Yes
The Tetkik complies with I4OC standards for open citations. The I4OC standards ask that citations are structured, separable, and open.
