Abstract
Bir kitabın ilgili olduğu konudaki/sahadaki yeri,
önemi, değeri ve katkısına dair çok yönlü eleştirel bir analizi demek olan
kitap değerlendirme yazıları söz konusu kitabın bir tanıtımı, özeti veya reklamı
olmayıp ciddi akademik bir faaliyettir. Bu yazı kitap değerlendirme yazılarının
mahiyeti ile ilgili kısa bir tasviri, ideal bir kitap değerlendirme yazısının
nasıl oluşturulabileceğine dair bir öneriyi ve birtakım teknik notları
içermektedir.

Abstract
A book review, which is a multifaceted critical analysis
of a book and an evaluation on the quality, value/meaning, significance, and contribution
of the book to its own subject/area, is not a report, summary, or advertisement,
rather is a serious scholarly work. This note provides a brief description of
the nature of book reviews, offers a guide on how to compose an ideal book
review, and mentions some relevant technical notes.
