The name of the "Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Journal of Theology Faculty", published with the e-ISSN number 2757-6418 in accordance with the decision of the Senate of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, dated 13.03.2023 and numbered 2 as a result of the recommendation of the Editorial Board of our journal, is changed to "Burdur Theology Journal" (e-ISSN: 2980-2407). Our Journal will be published under its new name as of June 2023.
Starting with the June 2023 issue, our Journal will be published under its new name. In accordance with the decision No. 4 of the same date, it has been decided that our Journal will be switched from the volume system to the issue system and the issue to be published in June 2023 will be accepted as the 6th issue. 

Burdur Theology Journal is an academic, international and refereed journal published twice a year, in June and December. Although the language of publication is Turkish, studies in other languages (English, Arabic, Persian and German) are also accepted. The journal aims to contribute to science by publishing studies such as articles, book reviews and symposium evaluations in the field of religious studies (Social and Humanities / Religion) and sharing them with the public. The target audience of the journal consists of academicians, researchers, graduate students and related academic institutions and organisations.

1 January-31 March for the June issue; Articles are accepted for the December issue between 1 July and 30 September.

Burdur Theology Journal, National or International?
According to ÜAK, "Published Article" that can be used in the application for Associate Professorship is "an original article published in print or electronic media, provided that it has contributed to science in its field". According to this definition, original articles published in print or e-journals can be used in associate professorship applications (Source: ÜAK).

1st International Article
Provided that they are not produced from the graduate theses prepared by the candidate and related to the field of associate professorship applied for:
a) Article published in journals within the scope of SSCI, SCI, SCI-Expanded and AHCI, excluding letter to the editor, abstract or book review 20 Points
b) Article published in journals scanned in international indexes, excluding letter to the editor, abstract or book review, 10 points
According to this table, the Burdur Theology Journal is in the International/b category as of June 2022, with a score of 10.
c) In the publications within the scope of subparagraph a or b of this article, the article that contributes to the science in the field of which the book has been criticized 5 Points

2. National Article
