Abstract

Araştırmada dindarlık, sağlıklı yaşam biçimi davranışları ve yaşam kalitesi arasındaki ilişkilerin test edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel araştırma desenine göre yürütülmüştür. Veri toplama aracı olarak “Müslüman Dindarlık Ölçeği”, “Sağlıklı Yaşam Biçimi Davranışları Ölçeği II” ve “Yaşam Kalitesi (SF36) Formu” kullanılmıştır. Örneklemin 163’ü (%39) erkek, 255’i (%61) kadındır.

Abstract

This study aims to test the relationship between religiosity, healthy lifestyle behaviors and quality of life. The study was conducted according to the relational survey design, a quantitative research method. The “Muslim Religiosity Scale”, “Healthy Life Style Behaviours Scale II” and “Quality of Life (SF36) Form” were used as data collection tools. 163 (39%) of the sample group are male, and 255 (61%) of them are female. Correlation analysis was made to determine the relations between variables. In the study, the relations between religiosity and healthy lifestyle behaviors were examined in the first place. Within this scope, positive significant correlations were found between religiosity, health responsibility, nutrition, spiritual development, interpersonal relations, and stress management. On the other hand, no significant correlations were found between religiosity and physical activity. Later, the relations between religiosity and quality of life were analyzed. In this context, the conclusion reached was that there are positive significant correlations between religiosity and mental health, energy/liveliness, emotional role difficulty, physical role difficulty, and physical function. However, it was also concluded that there are not significant correlations between religiosity and the general state of health, pain, and social functionality.
